Depending on the vehicle, additional modifications may occur, such as: fitting of mounts, bushings, and engine firewall, transmission tunnel modifications, driveshaft length adjustments, etc.

Our adapters are made from materials that are entirely recyclable.

To install the flywheel, it is necessary to use the automatic version starter ring gear (Toyota OE: 32101-30090 | 32101-22050) and a spacer between the engine block and the ring gear (Toyota OE: 32116-22020, 4.5mm) (not included). The clutch fork must be mounted in the lower position of the release bearing (in the case of a two-position bearing)

1. Which starter motor should be used with the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW adapter?

For the adapter installation, use a Toyota JZ starter motor without the additional pinion shroud. Depending on the version of the Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW adapter you have, there are three installation methods:

a) Adapters produced until 2022 - the starter is mounted identically to the Original Equipment (OE).

b) Adapters produced from 2022 to 2025 - one of the starter mounting holes in the engine block must be enlarged. The hole should be drilled to a diameter of ∅12.9-13.2 mm (0.507"-0.520") to a depth of 22 mm (0.866"). Then, use the bushing from the AN 335-M10 kit and secure it with an ISO4762-M10x35 bolt.

c) Adapters produced from January 2025 - the lower mounting hole in the starter must be enlarged to ∅12-13 mm and the engine block must be tapped for M12x1.5.


2. Which ring gear should be used with the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW flywheel?

When installing the PMC Motorsport Toyota JZ 1JZ 2JZ - BMW flywheel, use the starter ring gear (flywheel) from the automatic version of the Toyota 1JZ / 2JZ (OE number: 32101-30090 | 32101-22050) and one Toyota spacer (OE number: 32116-22020) with a thickness of 4.5 mm between the engine block and the ring gear.


3. Can I use the gearbox adapter for a 6-speed GS6-53DZ / GS6-53BZ gearbox?

Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters manufactured after 2022). If you wish to change the gearbox, you only need to replace the flywheel and clutch disc.


4. Can I use the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1JZ 2JZ - BMW gearbox adapter for a ZF 8HP?

Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters manufactured after 2022). If you wish to switch to a ZF 8HP automatic transmission, you must replace the standard flywheel with an 8HP converter adapter (PMC Motorsport).
